Liverpool Spring Food & Drink Festival

SK Events Limited have ran this event and a couple others over the last few years. We attended this back in April 2018 and to be honest I’d recommend to leave it alone.

The event

The Liverpool food and drink festival happens right near the end of April so the weather is generally off more than on. It takes part at the bottom of Sefton Park which is a nice spot. Lay out of the festival was pretty good and flowed really well. They lots of food and lots of big showy bars.

What’s on

It wasn’t apparent that there was a lot in the way of entertainment, there was some animal shows which was a bit questionable. There was no live music but lots of retail stands. Unfortunately, the tickets on the door where very expensive but there didn’t seem to be much in the way of other things to do other than eat and drink

Positioning

There where different areas from healthy eating to vegan sections and a BBQ section. I guess you just get put where you fit.

The Footfall

Footfall was poor across the 2 days with not many people coming through on Saturday and a few more on Sunday. If there was 3000 people throughout the weekend I’d be surprised.

Service for the trader

SK Events were easy to deal with and readily available to help if needed. Worth noting that there was no water on site which I thought was a bit weird and should be a must at any festival.

The Cost

The pitch fee was good but would have been better value if there was more footfall. Electric was pricy so we took our generator.

Build and Break

Build and Break were easy and very much stress free. Build the day before and break down around 5pm on Sunday. The rain was a nightmare so careful when you get your van on.

Footfall: 2/10

Service: 5/10

Pitch fee: 5/10

Verdict: 2 stars
